Check Warranty Status

How to Check Warranty

Step 1: Go to the site https://rheem.registermyunit.com

Step 2: Select the correct brand (⚠️ Must match the nameplate exactly.)

Step 3: Log in (recommended for contractors)

Why log in:

  • Faster lookups

  • Save equipment

  • Access full warranty details

  • Track registrations

If they don’t have an account, they can create one.

Step 4: Choose “Warranty Verification” or “Lookup”

After selecting the brand (and logging in if applicable), look for:

  • Warranty Verification

  • Check Warranty Status

  • Verify Warranty

(This wording varies slightly by brand.)

Step 5: Enter required equipment info

Contractors will need:

✅ Serial Number (most important)
✅ Model Number (sometimes required)
✅ Installation Date (optional but helpful)

Pro tip for your counter team:
👉 Serial number alone usually works for a quick check.

Step 6: Review warranty results

The system will show:

  • Warranty start date

  • Warranty end date

  • Registered vs. unregistered status

  • Parts coverage details

Common Contractor Pain Points (good to know)

If no record shows:

  • Unit may not be registered

  • Serial entered incorrectly

  • Brand mismatch

  • Too new in system (rare)

If unregistered:
👉 Contractor can often register it on the same portal.
